Castle of Almodóvar

: Just outside the province of Seville this beautiful Moorish castle is located dating partly from the 8th century in the town of Almodóvar del Río.

: Nice town with Moorish influences to the east of Seville. In the village, situated in a river valley on a hill, is a imitation of Sevilla's Giralda tower visible. Other highlights include the Rey Pedro Castle (parador) and gate (Puerta de Sevilla). Outside the town is a roman excavation (Necropolis Romana) with a cemetery.

Italica

: 10 kilometres north of Seville near the town of Santiponce Roman remains are found (ruins and mosaic floors of palaces and bathhouses). There is also a strong ruinously amphitheater.

Écija

: Town situated in a river valley with rolling hills with a very warm climate with some beautiful Baroque churches (including San Juan Bautista). Another highlight is the Palacio de Peñaflor, an 18th century house with a long balcony and a pink marble entrance.
